Our Mandy Girl
Mandy is our loving and smart (sometimes too smart) canine. She became a part of our family for companionship, and because dogs are both fun and handy to have around. When Melissa finally graduated from college, she figured she had the time to housetrain a dog. She knew she wanted a "smart dog", so just any dog wouldn't do...
Mandy was born in Chadron, Nebraska, on July 3, 1995. Her mom was a Black Labrador Retriever--a working girl who liked going hunting. Her dad was a Border Collie who managed to find a way through the fence one day. Mandy is mostly black with tan and white markings. She has the thick build of a labrador and expressive brown eyes.
Being a fast learner, Mandy was housetrained in just a couple weeks-- Really--No more doggy messes in the house ever. She's very quick to catch on to things. She also has a bit of a "hyper" streak, and loves to run and play. Her favorite games are "fetch" and "tug-o-war"... although she likes to play "people-race-and-chase-me" on those rare occasions she escapes out of the yard. She also likes to get in on whatever fun Cleo and Tabitha are having. She loves to get the back of her neck scratched, eat, take a nap, eat, get her tummy rubbed, eat, get behind her ears scratched, and eat. She likes to be a part of family stuff... especially if she thinks there's hugs and petting involved. She certainly helps make our house a home.
