I was born in the U.S. mid-west, and have lived in various cities and states across the country. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Central High School, Rapid City, South Dakota. I started college at Black Hills State University (Spearfish, S.D), then spent some time at Oglala Lakota College (Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, S.D.). I graduated Cum Laude from Chadron State College (Chadron, Nebraska) with a B.S. in Education (Art, K-12). I'm considering working toward a Master's in Fine Arts, but that might be a couple years down the road. Currently I live in west-central Minnesota, with one husband, three sons, and various pets. My ancestry is approximately 7/8 "European" and 1/8 "American Indian" (Lakota Sioux and Cherokee mix). In the past I've been a hospital candy striper, a clerk-typist in the South Dakota Army National Guard, the owner of a licensed day care, and a Cub Scout Den Leader. In 1996, I helped design the original web page for the city of Rushville, Nebraska. Currently, I'm a wife and a mom. During the school year I work as the Title IX Tutor at my kids' school. As Title IX Tutor, I provide educational support and tutoring for the Native American students. I also serve as Primary President (commonly called "Sunday School Superintendent" in other churches) in the Sisseton, S.D. branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I also volunteer in various community groups. My top hobbies are family history, reading up on various interests, painting, and making web pages. I also tend to work out almost every day, mainly by weight training and step aerobics. Things I like include: having fun with my kids; cuddling with my husband; visiting my sister; animals (especially Tabitha, my Devon Rex); hiking; fishing; boating; camping; getting a painting just right; the moment when an idea clicks in a child's head; colorful fragrant flower gardens; orange juice; lemonade; Charlton Heston or Harrison Ford movies; the serene and scenic Black Hills of South Dakota; warm summer days and cool summer nights.......to mention just a few things. Most of my genealogy surnames are listed in the pink column to the right. Links at top left lead to more of my web pages. Links near the bottom left lead to some of my favorite places on the Net.
